Medicine on VETiSearch
VETiSearch – closed digital infrastructure for communication with veterinarians and authorised persons
The platform operates within the framework of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013 (as amended), in particular Schedule 1 Part 7 (advertising of veterinary medicinal products), and applicable United Kingdom law. For veterinary medicinal products authorised under European Union law, Articles 119–122 of Regulation (EU) 2019/6 apply.
Geographical coverage Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Access and verification Access the data room is restricted to persons permitted under the applicable national law of each covered jurisdiction to receive advertising of prescription-only veterinary medicinal products. User verification is carried out before access is granted.
Data sources The platform uses data from the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and the relevant competent authorities of the other covered jurisdictions.
Data protection and information security Personal data is processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, and – where applicable – Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (EU GDPR). The platform is hosted on ISO 27001-certified servers.
Ownership VETiSearch is not owned by pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies, wholesalers, or trade associations.
Responsibility for content The marketing authorisation holder is responsible for ensuring that any content provided to the platform complies with the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013 (as amended), with Articles 119–122 of Regulation (EU) 2019/6 where applicable, and with the law of the relevant jurisdiction.
